Day of the Dead Festival at Manassas, VA

Saturday, October 30th, 2010 was a fine autumn afternoon to celebrate this joyous artistic expression of the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead. This festival could not have been in a better place, the Hylton Performing Arts Center on the Manassas campus of George Mason University. It was the first time that an event like this took place at this center. Community, schools, dance companies and artists worked together to build this charming event. Tom Evert, artistic director, and Sue Skaddan, executive director, were the leaders who brought all this effort together. The event was presented by Dance Evert.
